Greetings and blessings,

You tell me, in your letter, that you have submitted an application for immigration to Canada. You ask me what I think of it.

From what I can know, it is not easy to earn a livelihood in Canada. Some time ago, I wrote to several chassidim* residing in France to ask them to settle in Morocco — obviously in one of the two cities where our institutions are located, Meknes or Casablanca — or in Australia, in South America, where, according to the information I have, it is possible to provide for one's needs and also to act in the spiritual area.

To take up the expression of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, the moment has come for chassidim* to think of disseminating the wellsprings of Chassidus* to the outside, to take cognizance that all this concerns us, even if each one asks himself: "Who am I and what am I?"

In fact, it is not for us to ask ourselves such questions. We belong to this generation, in which the geulah* is imminent. The conclusion is near, and Chassidus* must therefore be carried to the outside, where it has been absent until now.

We can attain it by the strength of the Atzmus* of Hashem, Who has transmitted His Word to us through His servants, our holy masters. We will therefore assume this mission and we will know success.

Obviously, all this does not contradict the steps allowing one to obtain a visa for Canada or for any other country.

קבלתי מכתבה בו כותבת אודות בריאותה ,ובריאות אמה ואודות

ילדי׳ . . .עם משפחתו ובנה . . .יחיו;

כשהייתי בל״ג בעומר שעבר על ציון חמי כ״ק אדמו״ר זצוקללה״ה

נבג״מ זי״ע ,הזכרתי את כולכם ,ובטח הוא מעורר רחמים שהשם יתברך

יעזור לכל אחד מכם במה שכל אחד צריך ,אקוה שתבשר לי בשורות

טובות.

אבל כדי לקבל את הברכות מה׳ ברוך הוא ,צריך להכין כלים ,שהם ­-

שהבית יהי׳ בית יהודי חם ומואר;

תדאג שהמזוזות תהיינה כשרות ,ולפני הדלקת נרות בכל ערב שבת וערב

יום טוב תתן צדקה ,ואת ילדי׳ תזהיר להניח תפילין כל יום -חוץ משבת ויום

טוב -ואם אין להם אפשרות להניח תפילין בבוקר ,שיעשו זאת במשך היום,

עד שקיעת החמה ,וכשיעשו כן ,תקותי שהברכות יגיעו אליהם.

בבקשה תמסור למרת . . .תי׳ שהזכרתי את בנה על ציון חמי כ״ק

מו״ח אדמו״ר זצוקללה״ה נבג״מ זי״ע ושהיא תכתוב לו מיד ,שיקפיד על

הנחת תפילין כל יום -חוץ משבת ויום טוב מתי שרק יש לו כמה דקות

פנויות במשך היום מהבוקר עד הערב ,אפשר להניח את התפילין ולו לכמה

דקות בלבד ,אבל העיקר שיניח תפילין בכל יום בלי יוצא מהכלל] ,ובשכר

זה[ ישמרהו השי״ת והוא יבוא הביתה בריא ושלם ,הנני שולח ״מסר״,

מצו״ב ,שהיא ]האמא[ תשלח לבנה שי׳.
