By the grace of Hashem,

First day of Rosh Chodesh Adar 5712,

To the rabbanim, distinguished chassidim* who fear Hashem,

HaRav Dov Yedidya[1], the shochet*,

and HaRav Avraham Yitzchak[2],

I greet and bless you,

I learned with satisfaction that you had the idea of establishing a public study of Chassidus in the Anshei Belechov shul, and that this shiur* has already been instituted. It is certain that you will know hatzlachah*. The Alter Rebbe promised[3], indeed, that thanks to the mesirus nefesh* he displayed, all chassidim who would contribute to his work would see their efforts crowned with success.

I therefore come to express my brachah*, even though it seems superfluous[4], that your action be fruitful, for yourselves and for those who will heed your teaching. The latter will have a beneficial effect upon their conduct, for as the Zohar proclaims, "the deed is primary"[5].

Such is the meaning of this week's parshah, which introduces the mitzvah of terumah*[6], elevating the assembly above its current state and enabling the deepest union with the Atzmus* of Hashem. The Tanya expresses this idea briefly in perek 47: "They shall take for Me a terumah — meaning, they shall take Me Myself."[7] You will consult this text.

With my brachah that all this illuminate your personal concerns, that each of you be blessed, with all the members of his family, in all his needs,

בנועם נודעתי אשר עלה בדעתם, ויש בידם להביא לפועל, לקבוע שיעור קבוע בלימוד דא"ח ברבים בבית הכנסת דאנשי באלעכאוו, ובל"ס אשר יצליחו בזה, וכידוע הבטחת רבינו הזקן, אשר בזכות המס"נ שלו פעל אשר חסידים שיתעסקו בעניניו יצליחו,

וכיהודא ועוד לקרא, באתי בזה להביע ג"כ את ברכתי, שיהי' בהצלחה בהנוגע לפועל ממש, הן בהם והן בהשומעים, היינו שיביא הלימוד להטבת מעמדם ומצבם בהנוגע לעשי', וכפתגם הזהר: עשי' לעילא.

ונוגע בפרשת שבוע זה, היינו מצות התרומה, להגביה את החבורה למעלה ממעמדה ומצבה, אשר עי"ז מתייחדים ג"כ בתכלית היחוד עם מהו"ע, ית', וכמרומז בקצרה בתניא פמ"ז: ויקח לי תרומה דלי כלומר אותי, עיי"ז.

בברכה שכל הנ"ל יוסיף אור ג"כ בענינים הפרטים, להתברך כאו"א מהם בהמצטרך לו ולכב"ב שיחיו.
