Igrot Kodesh · Letter 1442 — Faith & Bitachon

Volume 5 · Letter 222

By the grace of Hashem,

First day of Rosh Chodesh Adar 5712,

Brooklyn, New York,

I bless and greet you,

I received in due course the request for a brachah* that you sent me through HaRav, distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem, Rav Yehudah Tzvi Fogelman. He tells me that you are subject to anxieties.

I wish to repeat to you once again that every Jew, woman or man, must strengthen his bitachon* in Hashem. Each one believes, with pure emunah*, that Hashem is the Master of the world and also of the existence of every individual, man or woman.

Likewise, it is certain that Hashem is good. Everything that He does is for good, and when one is placed under His Hashgachah*, there is therefore no reason to be afraid. Dovid HaMelech says in his Tehillim: "I shall not fear evil, for You are with me"[1], and so it is for every Jew.

I hope that Hashem will show you an evident improvement in your situation, and that you will be able to convey to me good news.

With my brachah,

For the Rebbe shlita,

the secretary,
