By the grace of Hashem,

To the distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem,

HaRav Moshe Dovid[1], the shochet*,

I greet and bless you,

Our shaliach*, the great Rav, distinguished chassid who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Binyamin Gorodetsky[2], met you when he was in Madrid. He spoke to me of you and of the help that you gave him in establishing a kosher kitchen in that city. Your zechus* is considerable, for the great good of all in matters of Torah and mitzvos.

Being on the spot, you will be able to act so that this accomplishment functions in a satisfactory and lasting manner. I thank you for the good news that you will convey to me in this matter.

It is clear that Hashem prepares the steps of man. If divine Hashgachah* led you to Madrid, even for a time, there must assuredly result therefrom a good for others, connected with Torah and mitzvos. Moreover, the Baal Shem Tov tells us that a neshamah* may descend below for seventy or eighty years solely for the purpose of rendering a service, material and spiritual, to a single Jew[3].

For one such as yourself, it is unnecessary to say more. I am convinced that you mobilize all your koach* to spread the light of Torah and its luminary[4] in your surroundings, through concrete actions which are channels conveying and enabling the integration of brachos*, from their first Source, into all his personal concerns, material and spiritual.

בהיות בא-כחנו הרה"ג והרה"ח וו"ח אי"א עוסק בצצ"ב וכו' מוהר"ר בנימין שי' גאראדצקי במדריד נפגש שוב עם כ"מ שי' וכתב לי אדותיו ועל דבר הסיוע שקבל מכ"מ בענין יסוד בית תבשיל כשר בעיר, ויישר חילו בעניני תורה ומצוה לזכות הרבים. ובטח בהיותו על אתר מתענין בדבר שיסודר באופן טוב ויהי' דבר של קיימא. ות"ח על הודעתו בשורות טובות מזה.

ידוע אשר מה' מצערי גבר כוננו, ומכיון שההשגחה העלינה הביאה אותו למדריד, אם גם לאיזה זמן, הרי הכוונה הפנימית שבזה לזכות את זולתו בעיני תורה ומצות.

וגדולה מזו שמענו בשם הבעש"ט אשר יש ונשמה יורדת למטה לשבעים או שמונים שנה כדי לעשות טובה לאחד מאחב"י בגשמיות או ברוחניות.

והאריכות בזה אך למותר לדכוותי', ובטחוני גדול אשר כ"מ שי' משתדל בכל עוז להפיץ אור תורה ומאור שבה בסביבתו במעשים בפועל אשר הם הם הצנורות להמשכת וקבלת ברכות ממקור הברכות בכל עניניו הפרטיים בגשמיות וברוחניות.
