By the grace of Hashem,

Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter. May Hashem grant that your wife's pregnancy proceed well, and that she give birth in its proper time and with ease. It would be good for you to make the effort to open the Aron HaKodesh* yourself when the Torah is read, on the condition that this not result in ostentatious conduct. May Hashem grant that you give me good news.

You will convey to your wife that she must strengthen her bitachon* in Hashem, and be certain that all will proceed well, in its proper time and with ease. In addition to the tzedakah* that she currently dedicates to Rabbi Meir Baal HaNess* before lighting the candles, she will also give, every day, eighteen pennies to that tzedakah*.

You tell me that you have learned that your brother was to take a boat for Asia during chol hamoed* Pesach*. He no doubt took along his tefillin*, as I told him to. It would also be good for him to have a siddur* and a Tehillim*. So that he may always have them on his person, find an edition of small format and send them to him. May Hashem watch over him wherever he goes, and may he return safe and sound, in good health, home.

I will go in the coming days to the tziyun* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, and as you asked of me I will mention the names of your father, that he have material prosperity, and of your wife, that she raise all your children to Torah, chuppah*, and good deeds, in expansive measure.

במענה על מכתבו, הנה יהי רצון שימולא ההריון של זוגתו תחי' כראוי ותהי' הלידה בעתה ובזמנה בנקל, ומהנכון שבאם לא יהי' בזה בליטות שישתדל בפתיחת הארון בימי הקריאה, והשי"ת יזכהו לבשר טוב בזה, וימסור לזוגתו תחי' שתהי' חזקה בבטחונה בהשי"ת שיהי' הכל בעתו ובזמנו בנקל ותוסיף על מה שהיא נותנת לצדקה עד עתה לפני הדלקת נרות לצדקת רמבעה"ן עד ח"י פענעס בכל פעם ופעם.

כותב אשר נתקבל ידיעה מאחיו... שי' שבחוה"פ צריך הי לנסוע על האני' למזרח, הנה בטח כמו שדברתי עמו לקח עמדו התפילין שלו, וכן כדאי לעוררו שיהי' אצלו סידור ותהלים, וכדי שיוכל לשאת אותם אתו, בטח ימצא את הנ"ל בפורמט קט וישלח לו, ויה"ר אשר השי"ת ישמור אותו בכל מקום שהוא ויביאו לביתו בריא ושלם בכל.

כבקשתו הנה בהיותי ימים אלו על הציון של כ"ק מוח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע אזכיר את אביו שי' לפרנסה ואת זוג' תי' לגדל את כל ילידיהם שיחיו לתורה לחופה ומעשים טובים מתוך הרחבה.
