By the grace of Hashem,

Greetings and blessings,

I have received your letter with satisfaction. You tell me that you have received correspondence from the consulate concerning your visa, and you request a blessing that the difficulties and obstacles disappear.

For a long time I have not understood why you speak of difficulties and obstacles. Who among us knows what is happening? Who can say whether it is preferable for him to spend a few more weeks in the place where he now finds himself, to bring there the clarity of "the candle is a mitzvah* and the Torah is light", as well as the luminary of the Torah, which is Chassidus*, or rather to leave it as quickly as possible and seek out a new place — about which it is not certain that it will be better — and there to rely upon Hashem, Who is the Essence of good?

There is an obligation to forge a vessel within the natural laws, which you have already done with the greatest alacrity. Hashem will surely grant you success in your communal and personal concerns, for you and for all the members of your family.

You have no doubt received a copy of my letter, addressed to all, on the occasion of Pesach*, and you have disseminated it in the proper manner.

בנועם קבלתי מכתבו... כן מודיע אשר הגיעו מכתב מהקנסול בנוגע להוויזה שלו, ומבקש ברכה שיסורו מעליו המניעות ועכובים.

הנה זה מכבר איני מבין מה שכותב שיש עליו מניעות ועכובים, כי מי מאתנו יודע עד מה, מה טוב לפניו אם להיות עוד איזה שבועות במקום שהוא עתה ולהאירו בנר מצוה תורה אור ומאור שבתורה זוהי תורת החסידות, או דוקא להעתיק משם בהקדם היותר אפשרי ולחפש ענינים חדשים ובמקום ספק כזה הרי טוב יותר לסמוך על הקב"ה שהוא עצם הטוב, אלא שיש חוב לעשות כלי בדרך הטבע, ואת זה כבר עשה במרץ גדול ביותר, ובטח יצליחו השי"ת בענינים הכללים ובענינים הפרטים - בעדו וכל ב"ב שיחיו.

בטח קיבל העתק מכתבי הכללי לחה"פ ופרסמו באופן המתאים.
