Greetings and blessings,

I have received your letter, which expressed your deep displeasure regarding Mr. ... But what can I do? I cannot dialogue with each one in particular. A few months ago, when Mr. ... showed me the design of the machine he wished to construct, I told him at once that he should provide for hollow tubes therein, so that the disinfectant product would circulate not only along the sides but also within.

I also justified my position to him. There is there a great gathering of sacks. It is therefore difficult for the airflow to pass through them from one end to the other. Of course, he accepted all my advice. But subsequently he changed his mind, and he did not place these hollow tubes in his machine. And he now complains of its imperfection.

I bear him no resentment, chas veshalom*. He indeed received this advice from a man who wears a beard [1], then consulted his own engineer, who was not of the same view. And perhaps he could not do otherwise [2]. In any event, here are the facts as they unfolded, and he now derives bitterness from them.

Nevertheless, I was able to be witness to far more important matters in the presence of my father-in-law, the Rebbe. I therefore have good hope that, despite all this, he will in the end know success. He will even be able to see it with his own eyes of flesh and count it on his fingers.

קבלתי מכתבו בענין מר... מלא אי-שביעות רצון, אבל מה אעשה, מי קען זיך ניט דינגען מיט יעדערען באזונדער, כשהראה לי מר... כמה חדשים מלפנים את הבלוע פרינט של המכונה שהולך הוא לסדר, אמרתי לו אז על אתר, שצריך לעשות במכונה זו בתוכה קנים חלולים כדי שיחדור החומר של הדזיפענקציע לא רק מן הצד אלא גם בפנים, ואמרתי לו ג"כ טעמי ונמוקי, אשר כיון שזהו גוש גדול של שקים, קשה הדבר שיחדור זרם האויר מן הקצה אל הקצה וכמובן שמע כל מה שהצעתי לפניו, ואח"כ עשה באופן אחר, היינו בלא הקנים החלולים הנ"ל, ועתה מתאונן על שאין הדבר בשלימות, איני ח"ו בקפידא עליו כי כיון ששמע זה מאיש בעל זקן ואח"כ אמר לו האינזשינער שלו אחרת, אולי לא היתה הברירה בידו, אבל בכל אופן הענין הוא כנ"ל ועתה יש עגמת נפש מזה, אבל אחכ"ז, ראיתי מכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר גרעסערע זאכען, ותקותי חזקה שלמרות כל הנ"ל הנה סו"ס יהיו כל עניניו בהצלחה ויראה זאת בעיני בשר און וועט דאס קענען איבערציילען מיט די פינגער...
