Greetings and blessings,

I was glad to learn, from the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Sholom Posner, that you are doing better and that you have been able to return home. No doubt your condition will continue to improve.

For our Sages say that one must know elevation in all that touches on the holy. And the Rambam* specifies, in his Hilchos Deos*, ch. 4, that having a body in good health is an integral part of the service of Hashem. It is therefore truly a means of knowing elevation in this domain of the holy.

And my father-in-law, the Rebbe, related that once his father called him, showed him his hand, and said: "How precious it is! So much Torah and so many mitzvos* have been poured forth for it!"

The festival of Shavuos*, the time of the giving of our Torah, is approaching. Now, when the Torah was given, all the Children of Israel were in good health[1], as the Midrash Shemos Rabbah relates. May Hashem therefore grant you good health, and may you receive the Torah in a joyous and deep manner[2].

ע"י הרה"ח הוו"ח אי"א נו"נ עוסק בצ"צ באמונה וכו' מוה"ר שלום שי' פאזנער, שמחתי להודע אשר הוטב מצב בריאותו וכבר בא לביתו, ובטח ילך מצבו הלוך וטוב, וכידוע פסק רז"ל שמעלין בקדש, וכבר פסק הרמב"ם בהלכות דיעות פרק ד' אשר היות הגוף בריא מדרכי השם הוא, ובמילא גם זה נכנס בענין העלאה בקדש, וכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר סיפר אשר פעם קרא אותו אביו והראה לו על ידו הק' ואמר, ווי טייער דאס איז אז צוליב דעם האט מען אויסגעגאסען אזויפיל תורה ומצות.

ולקראת חג השבועות הבע"ל זמן מתן תורתנו, אשר בעת מתן תורה היו כל ישראל בריאים (כמובא במדרש שמו"ר) הנה יזכהו השי"ת בבריאות הנכונה ולקבלת התורה בשמחה ובפנימיות.
