To the great Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,

Rav Avraham Chaim[1],

Greetings and blessings,

It is said that "one who prays for his fellow is answered first." May Hashem therefore bring it about that you have good health, that you may devote yourself to the Torah and the service of Hashem, with calm of mind and body, in order to celebrate and exalt the Torah, and that you be able, in particular, to clarify the teaching of our holy Rebbeim.

I would like to know whether you received, in their time, the meat parcels that my Paris office wished to send you. When did they reach you, and how many did you receive?

I had occasion to see what is said about the reading of the Nasi[2] in an issue of HaModia from before Pesach* that reached me. You know that my father-in-law, the Rebbe, indicated how this reading should be done. The chassidim* should therefore have spread his teaching, so that all might adopt the same conduct, and I am surprised that this was not the case.

It would have been necessary to recall this teaching, which is printed in the Hayom Yom*, so that the people not be divided into two camps. Perhaps you did not have this sefer* at that moment.

I am enclosing a prepaid postal voucher in the amount of twenty[3]. This is by way of assistance, since you have informed me that you are preparing the printing of the seventh volume of Ketzos HaShulchan*. May Hashem bring it about that you know success in this domain.

We are preparing to publish the text of the Selichos* according to our minhag*[4], as it appears in the Siddur Torah Or, and to reissue the machzor* of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. If you have any remarks or explanations to offer in this regard, I thank you for letting me know. The sooner the better.

May Hashem bring it about that we all celebrate, together with all the Children of Israel, the festival of Shavuos* in the fitting manner, and, in the words of the blessing extended by my father-in-law, the Rebbe, that we receive the Torah with joy and depth.

אתענין לדעת אם קבל בזמנו החבילות בשר שבקשו מהמשרד שלי לשלוח לכת"ר שי' מפאריז, ומתי וכמה.

ראיתי באקראי בגליון המודיע שבא לידי והוא מלפני חג הפסח בענין אמירת הנשיאים, ותמה אני אשר אחר שיודע כת"ר שי' בזה הוראת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, הנה מהראוי הי' לכל אנ"ש לפרסם הוראה זו, כדי שיהיו כולם בהנהגה אחת וכו' ועכ"פ צריך הי' להזכיר הוראה זו (שנדפסה ב"היום יום") למען לא יחצו העם לשני מחנות וכו'.

ואולי אשתמיטתי' באותה שעה.

מוסג"פ סקריפ ע"ס עשרים, והוא בתור סיוע במענה על הודעתו שמכין לדפוס ס' קצות השולחן חלק שביעי, ויה"ר מהשי"ת שיהי' בהצלחה.

באשר מתכוננים הננו עתה להדפיס סליחות לפי מנהגנו (הנדפז בסידור תו"א), וכן לחזור ולהדפיס את המחזור לר"ה ויהכ"פ, הנה ת"ח לכת"ר שבאם יש לו בזה איזה הערות והארות, יודיעני, וההקדם בזה ישובח.

ויה"ר מהשי"ת אשר נחוג כולנו בתוך כאחב"י את חג השבועות הבע"ל כדבעי וכנוסח הברכה של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר לקבלת התורה בשמחה ובפנימיות.
