To the Rav, Chassid* who fears Hashem

and devotes himself to communal needs,

Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of 9 Iyar, in which you ask my opinion on the date at which you should set your wedding, at a good and fruitful moment.

In my opinion, if there is no impossibility, it would be good to set it for next Elul[2], the month of mercy, particularly propitious for marriage. May Hashem bring it about that you build a binyan adei ad*, founded on the Torah and the mitzvos*, as they are illuminated by the luminary of the Torah, which is Chassidus*.

With my blessing to receive the Torah with joy and depth,

N.B.: I am surprised at not having had news, for a long time, of what you are publishing in the journals[3] and of the progress of the Hebrew translation of Beis Rebbi[4]. You will surely tell me how this stands in your next letter.

במענה על מכתבו מט' אייר, בו שואל חוו"ד בענין קביעות זמן חתונתו בשעה טובה ומוצלחת:

הנה לדעתי אם אין מניעות בדבר נכון הדבר אשר יקבענה בחדש אלול הבע"ל שהוא חדש הרחמים און א מזל'דיקער חדש לחתונות, ויה"ר מהשי"ת שיהי' בנינם בנין עדי עד על יסודי התורה והמצוה מוארים במאור שבתורה שהיא תורת החסידות.

בברכת קבלת התורה בשמחה ובפנימיות.

נ"ב: לפלא שלא שמעתי ממנו זה זמן רב בנוגע למה שמדפיס במכ"ע, וכן בענין התקדמות העבודה בהעתקת הבית רבי ללשון הקדש, ובטח יודיע עד"ז במכתבו הבא.
