Greetings and blessings,

I received, in its time, your letter of 3 Iyar. In the meantime, you must yourself have received my reply to the question you raised, since it was addressed to the directorate of the network[1], of which you are a part.

You speak to me of your particular situation and of your difficulties in providing for your livelihood. The great merit constituted by your sacred work — that of founding and developing the Oholei Yosef Yitzchak* Lubavitch network, which bears the name of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, the leader of our generation — will enable you to satisfy all your needs, as well as those of your family, both materially and spiritually.

The verse states: "If you walk in My statutes," and Rashi* explains: "By exerting yourselves in the Torah." Then, "I will give your rains in their time," and the holy sefarim* explain in this connection that one thereby receives all material goods[2], and moreover that they arrive "in their time."

May Hashem bring it about that you may verify with your physical eyes that this is indeed so, very soon.

With my blessing, in order to receive the Torah with joy and depth, for you and for all the members of the directorate[3],

בעתו קבלתי מכתבו מג' אייר, ובינתים בטח הגיע המענה שלי על שאלתם שנשלח ע"ש הנהלת הרשת ובמילא גם הוא בתוכם.

ומ"ש בענין מצבו הפרטי והדוחק בפרנסה, הנה גדול זכות התעסקותו בעבודה הקדושה דיסוד והרחבת רשת אהלי"י ליובאוויטש אשר הם ע"ש כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, נשיא דורנו, להשפיע לו ולכל ב"ב שי' המצטרך להם בגשמיות וברוחניות, וכמ"ש אם בחקותי תלכו ופרש"י שתהיו עמלים בתורה גו' ונתתי גשמיכם בעתם, ואי' הפי' ע"ז בספרים שכל ענינים הגשמיים ינתנו ועוד זה שיהי[ו] בעתם, ויה"ר מהשי"ת שיראה זה גם בעיני בשר ובקרוב ממש.
