Greetings and blessings,

I have indeed received the text of the appeal you have issued concerning the mikvah*, and I thank you for it. It is good that it is drafted in Yiddish. Nevertheless, it would be wise to publish it also, at least in summary form and adapting its content, in the language of the country. I am enclosing the text of an appeal[2] that was put out, in its time, by Machneh Yisrael*.

You are familiar with the proverb of my father-in-law, the Rebbe[3], according to which "an effort is never in vain."

With my blessing for a joyous festival of Shavuos* and to receive the Torah with joy and depth,
