Greetings and blessings,

You ask me whether you may buy books with the sum that you and your wife have set aside for tzedakah*, or whether you must give it to a tzedakah* cause.

Here is my reply. You will indeed give it to tzedakah*, and you may divide this amount among the educational institutions of Lubavitch in the Holy Land[1], in Brunoy[2], in Paris, and in Africa[3]. It would be good for the sum to be divided into four identical amounts.

Hashem will grant you the merit, as well as to the members of your family, of knowing material and spiritual good and of receiving the Torah with joy and depth.
