Igrot Kodesh · Letter 1605 — Shidduchim

Volume 6 · Letter 77

By the grace of Hashem,

2 Sivan 5712,

Brooklyn,

Greetings and blessings,

On the occasion of your marriage, I extend to you my blessing, a blessing of mazel tov*, mazel tov*. You will build your home on the foundations of the Torah and the mitzvos* and warm it with the enthusiasm of a sincere love for Hashem, for the Torah, and for your fellow.

These values correspond, in the expression of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, to the love of Hashem, the love of the Torah, and the love of one's fellow, which all three constitute one and the same entity[1].

You will have the merit of having a warm and Jewish home, in which you will welcome guests, and which will be illuminated by "the candle (which) is a mitzvah* and the Torah (which) is light"[2].

With my blessing of mazel tov*, mazel tov*,
