Igrot Kodesh · Letter 1616 — Health

Volume 6 · Letter 88

By the grace of Hashem,

3 Sivan 5712,

Brooklyn,

Greetings and blessings[1],

Your greetings have been transmitted to me, as well as your question. You ask me whether you may adopt a child.

To the extent possible, it will be a child born in a pure manner[2]. Such a way of acting will favor the birth of your own children. In fact, adopting a child and educating him on the path of the Torah and the mitzvos* is the means of obtaining such a blessing.

May Hashem come to your aid, as well as to your husband, and may He fulfill positively the wish of your heart, by granting you a healthy child.

Wishing you a joyous festival of Shavuos*,
