By the grace of Hashem,

12 Sivan 5712,

Brooklyn,

Greetings and blessings,

I learned of your question through the great Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Yosef HaLevi Weinberg. You wish to have a building constructed on the land at your disposal. You ask me whether you should sell half of this land in order to build the building with the proceeds of this sale, or whether it is preferable to associate yourself with someone, or even to wait until your situation improves, so that it would be easier for you to procure the means to build.

Here is my opinion. If the price of buildable land has not fallen at the present time, it would be good to sell half of this land and to build on the other half with the proceeds of the sale. But, in any event, there is no reason to consider an association.

In a general way, it is good to build. Nevertheless, in order to know material and spiritual success, it seems to me that, while envisaging the construction of this building, you should devote a part of your means to building a few rooms, or even part of a house, in Kfar Chabad* Sefarya, or even in Lod, in our Holy Land, where there are chassidim* who fled from Poland or from Russia and do not have the means to construct the dwellings they need to live, study Torah, and pray.

May Hashem grant that the construction of the building, and also that of the rooms and houses for the refugees in Kfar Chabad* or in Lod, in our Holy Land, be for you, both, at a good and fruitful moment, down to the smallest detail.

The great Rav Weinberg tells me nothing of your state of health. I therefore hope that all is well. May Hashem grant you the possibility to multiply the good actions that you carry out, for all that concerns the Torah and the mitzvos*, far beyond what you have been able to do until now.

With my blessing for success,
