To the directors of the Yeshivah Lubavitch of Rishon LeTzion,
may Hashem grant you long life,
Greetings and blessings,
I respond to your letter of 17 Sivan and to the previous one, by which you inform me of the organization of the yeshivah. You also tell me that you intend to organize a celebration on 13 Tammuz for the official opening of the yeshivah.
May Hashem grant that you know success and that He multiply the number of your students, quantitatively and qualitatively — that is, by number and by value — since the yeshivah bears the name of Lubavitch.
It was on 13 Tammuz that my father-in-law, the Rebbe, was liberated. He affirmed at that time that his deliverance did not have a personal dimension, that it was a victory of general scope, for all that concerns the Torah and Yiddishkeit*. Hashem will grant that you be the channels and the emissaries to realize all this in your environment.
The Yeshivah Lubavitch which you direct will therefore be the center illuminating its environment by "the candle (which) is a mitzvah* and the Torah (which) is a light," by the luminary of the Torah, which is its inner dimension, with a spirit of mesirus nefesh*, in conformity with the will of our Rebbeim.
You will transmit my greetings to all those who come to your aid and who participate in the direction of this institution.
With my blessing for you, for the teacher, for the rosh yeshivah*, and for the students,

במענה על מכתבם מיום י"ז סיון והקודם לו בהם מודיעים ע"ד הסדרים בהישיבה, ואשר בי"ג תמוז הבע"ל בדעתם להעריך חגיגה לפתיחת הישיבה באופן רשמי.
הנה יה"ר מהשי"ת שיהי' בהצלחה ויגדיל השי"ת גבולם בתלמידים הן באיכות והן בכמות, היינו בהגדלת מספר התלמידים ובהרמת איכותם מתאים לשם הישיבה אחי תמימים.
וביום י"ג תמוז, בו יצא כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר לחירות, ואמר אז, שאין זה חירות פרטי אלא שזהו נצחון כללי דעניני תורה ויהדות, הנה יזכם השי"ת להיות הצנורות והשלוחים שעל ידם יבוא זה בפועל בסביבתם, היינו שהמוסד אחי תמימים שבהנהלתם ישמש מרכז משם תואר כל הסביבה בנר מצוה ותורה אור ומאור שבתורה זוהי פנימיות התורה ברוח של מסירת נפש מתאים לרצון כ"ק נשיאינו רבוה"ק זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע.
בפ"ש כל המסייעים והמשתתפים בהנהלת המוסד ובברכת הצלחה להם להר"מ להר"י ולהתלמידים שיחיו.
