To the directors of the Yeshivah Lubavitch of Montreal,
may Hashem grant you long life,

Greetings and blessings,

I received with pleasure your letter of 20 Iyar, in which you mention the celebration concluding your annual collection and the election of the executive committee for the year 5712-5713. When I was at the gravesite of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, I mentioned the names of the members of this committee, that they may know blessing and success in their collective and individual concerns.

You will find enclosed the letter that I address to the executive committee. For obvious reasons, it is written in the language of the country.

May Hashem grant you success in your sacred mission, you and the members of the executive committee, success spiritual and material at one and the same time. May the situation of the yeshivah be in conformity with the will of its founder and director, my father-in-law, the Rebbe. May you not be confronted with difficulties and obstacles in the financial domain or in the face of opposition. May you not undergo even the obscurity and the veil inherent in each one, on account of the body, the nefesh habahamis*, and natural logic.

And may Hashem grant to each of us to realize the mission He entrusts to us in this world, with material and moral largesse.

With my blessing of success, material and spiritual, in your collective and personal concerns,

I duly received your letter of 15 Sivan. In conformity with your request, my reply was transmitted by telephone.

No doubt you are seeking, with the proper alacrity, the means of using in the best way the period of vacation. The students are then freed from secular studies, and it is therefore possible to engrave sacred studies, with still more force, in their minds and in their hearts.

בנועם קבלתי מכתבם מכ' אייר, בו כותבים על דבר משתה הסגירה של המגבית השנתית שלהם, וע"ד בחירות ועד הפועל לשנת תשי"ב-תשי"ג. וכשהייתי על ציון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע הזכרתי שמות חברי ועד הפועל לברכה והצלחה בעניניהם הכלליים והפרטיים.

ומוסג"פ מכתבי לועד הפועל, הכתוב, מפני טעמים מובנים, בשפת המדינה.

והשי"ת יצליחם, אותם ואת ועד הפועל, בעבודתם בקדש, הצלחה ברוחניות ובגשמיות, היינו שמצב הישיבה יתאים לרצון מיסדה ומנהלה הוא כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר ולא יהיו כל מניעות ועיכובים באמצעים כספיים, התנגדות וכו', ואפילו לא מהעלמות וההסתרים שישנם בכל אחד מצד הגוף ונפש הבהמית ושכל הטבעי.

ויזכנו השי"ת כל אחד ואחד מאתנו למלא שליחותו בעלמא דין מתוך הרחבת הגוף והנפש.
