Greetings and blessings,

There are several opinions on the manner of writing the word petzua daka in the Sefer Torah*, with an alef* or with a heh*.[2] The Alter Rebbe, author of Tanya and of the Shulchan Aruch*, retains the alef*.

I was told that you possess a collection of ancient books and manuscripts. I would be most grateful if you would kindly send me a copy of all those that treat this subject. Of course, I will take charge of all the expenses that result from this.

I take this occasion to send you a Shulchan Aruch* of the Alter Rebbe, in which you will find a reproduction of his responsa, which we have published for the first time. I also send you a brochure on the communal activity of the masters of Chabad, in which there are also reproductions of their manuscripts.

I would be most grateful if you could send to my library books that you have published.

היות שיש חילוקי דיעות בכתוב "פצוע דכא", אם הוא בא' או בה' - וכ"ק רבנו הזקן בעל השו"ע והתניא פוסק דכא בא' - והוגד לי כי לכת"ר שי' יש אוסף ספרים וכתבי יד עתיקים, אכיר תודה רבה למר אם יואיל לשלוח לי פאטאסטאטן מכל הכתבי-יד בנידון זה, וכמובן שההוצאות על חשבוני.

בהזדמנות זו הנני שולח לכת"ר שו"ע רבינו הזקן, אשר בו פקסימלי' משו"ת רבינו שנדפס [ב]פעם הראשונה על ידינו, וגם חוברת עסקנות ציבורית של נשיאי חב"ד אשר גם בה פקסימליות מהנשיאים.
