The finality[1] of this festival[2] has already been explained by my father-in-law, the Rebbe, in the letter[3] he wrote for the first celebration of 12-13 Tammuz, in 5688.[4]
This date will be the occasion of chassidic* gatherings, in the course of which one will strengthen oneself in all that concerns Torah and Yiddishkeit*, in each place according to the needs.
He[5] wishes "to all our brothers, those who cherish the Torah, who study it, who teach it publicly, may Hashem grant them long life, may He open for them His good treasure, give them, in the midst of all our brothers the children of Israel, abundant vitality and considerable blessing, beyond all needs, may He strengthen their heart and give them the courage to disseminate Torah and to strengthen Yiddishkeit*. Thus, may we all merit to have children and grandchildren devoting themselves to Torah and mitzvos*, in largesse and opulence."
May Hashem fully fulfill the blessings of the Tzaddik*, leader of our generation.

תעודת חגיגה זו כבר ביארה כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר במכתבו לחגיגת יב-יג תמוז הראשונה - בשנת תרפ"ח,
לקובעו ליום התועדות והתעוררות לחיזוק בתורה והיהדות בכל אתר ואתר לפי ענינו,
ומברך "את כל אחינו חובבי תורה ולומדי' ומגידי שיעורים ברבים ד' עליהם יחיו, כי יפתח ה' את אוצרו הטוב, וישפיע להם בתוך כלל אחינו בני ישראל יחיו, שפעת חיים וברכה מרובה עד בלי די, ויחזק לבבם להוסיף אומץ בהרבצת תורה והחזקת היהדות, ונזכה כולנו לראות בנים ובני בנים עוסקים בתורה ובמצוה מתוך הרחבה ופרנסה טובה".
