To the Rav, distinguished chassid who fears Hashem

and devotes himself to communal needs,

Rav Michoel[1],

Greetings and blessings,

I duly received your letter of the second day of Rosh Chodesh Tammuz, together with the list of pupils[2] enclosed with it. Without making it a vow, I will mention their names at the tziyun* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe.

You mention the mikvaos* that exist in your locale, which are filled with tap water[3]. Your letter seems to indicate that this is, strictly speaking, water coming from the pipes!

Without blowing this situation out of proportion, it would be appropriate, gradually, to remedy it and to fill them with rainwater or, if there is none where you are, with blocks of ice or else by a connection to a spring.

The pamphlet[4] published in honor of 12-13 Tammuz has surely already reached you. You will arrange the celebration in the appropriate manner, in the presence of the people of the city, and you will direct all of this toward concrete action, which is the essential thing.

With my blessing for success in your communal activities and personal concerns, and also in honor of the festival of liberation,

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מבדר"ח תמוז עם רשימת התלמידים המוסג"ב וכן מכתביו הקודמים, ובלי נדר אזכירם בעת רצון על הציון של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע.

ומ"ש במכתבו על ענין המקואות שנעשו שם ע"י מי ברזא, וכנראה ממכ' כוונתו כפשוטו שמשתמשים במים הבאים מ'וואדאפראוואד!!

הנה מבלי לעשות רעש בזה, יש לשנותם מעט מעט אם למקוה מי גשמים, ואם אין גשמים במקומם, אולי אפשר להשיג קרח מלאכותי (איסקוסטועינע) או ע"י המשכה ממעין.

הקונטרס לחג הגאולה י"ב וי"ג תמוז הבע"ל, בטח כבר הגיע לידו, ויסדר את החגיגה בפרסום המתאים בהשתתפות גם מבני העיר וינצל את זה בענינים של פועל דעשי' לעילא.
