To the pupils, Chassidim who fear Hashem[1],

Greetings and blessings,

You informed me of your discussion with the great Rav, distinguished chassid who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Binyomin Gorodetsky[2], regarding your trip to France to continue your studies at the yeshivah of Brunoy[3].

In general, young men who are pupils of a yeshivah must defer to its administration and its organization. You must therefore, before anything else, consult these directors, who know your capacities and the results of your studies up to now.

If you have already consulted the director of the Yeshivah Oholei Yosef Yitzchok Lubavitch of Meknes, and if he too considers your trip to Paris justified, Hashem will cause it to be fruitful, on condition that you commit to redoubling your zeal in your study of Torah and your yiras Shamayim*.

In that case, the administration of your yeshivah will get in touch with the great Rav and chassid, Rav B. Gorodetsky, in Paris, in order to obtain the necessary documents. May Hashem grant you success.

You will surely take part in the chassidic farbrengen* of the days of the liberation of 12-13 Tammuz, which is approaching, with the appropriate enthusiasm, which will enable you to follow the path traced by the one whose joy we celebrate[4], to bind yourselves to the eitz hachayim*[5] with even more vigor and strength.

במענה על מכתבם שדברו עם הרה"ג והרה"ח הוו"ח אי"א נו"נ עוסק בצ"צ וכו' מוה"ר בנימין שי' גאראדעצקי אודות נסיעתם לצרפת ללמוד שם בישיבת תומכי תמימים:

הנה בכלל בחורי ותלמידי ישיבה צריכים להיות מסורים ונתונים להנהלת הישיבה וסדרי', ובמילא לכל לראש צריכים הם לשאול דעת ההנהלה בזה, כיון שהיא יודעת את כשרונותיהם ואת החיל אשר עשו בלימודם עד עתה, ואם כן הדבר אשר כבר התדברו עם ההנהלה דישיבת אהלי יוסף יצחק ליובאווטש, במכנז, וגם הם מסכימים שנכונה נסיעתם לפאריז, אזי יהי רצון מהשי"ת שיהי' בהצלחה, ובלבד שיקחו על עצמם תוספת שקידה והתמדה בלימודם בתורה וביראת שמים, ואז תכתוב הנהלת ישיבתם להרה"ג והרה"ח וכו' וכו' מוהר"ב שי' גאראדעצקי לפאריז על דבר סידור הניירות. והשי"ת יצליחם.

בטח יקחו חלק בהתועדות דימי הגאולה והסגולה הם י"ב וי"ג תמוז הבע"ל בהתעוררות המתאימה ללכת בדרכי בעל השמחה ובהתקשרות על ידי זה באילנא דחייא בתוספת כח ועוז.
