Greetings and blessings,

In reply to your letter, in which you ask whether you should emigrate.

I have already told all the Chassidim located in Paris and its environs that I do not understand the meaning of this panic. I see no reason to immigrate, especially since you must be aware of the difficulties and the slowness encountered by those who settled in Canada and in Australia.

Unfortunately, these difficulties are not only material. The moral situation does not improve either. Hashem has granted you the merit of dwelling in the tent of Torah, since you work at the Yeshivah Lubavitch. Why, then, do you wish to abandon a situation that allows you to provide for your moral and physical sustenance, in order to be confronted with trials?

May Hashem cause you to be content, to rejoice in your lot, all the more since there is truly reason to do so.

P.S.: You will kindly show this letter to the Rav, distinguished chassid who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Nissan Nemanov. You will ask him to make my opinion known to all the Chassidim, with the appropriate explanations, so as not to oblige me to respond personally to each one.

You will find enclosed the note that was published for the auspicious days of the liberation of 12-13 Tammuz. You will surely make it available to as many as possible.
