Greetings and blessings,

I read with pleasure in your letter that you are having a new mikveh* built in the best possible way, although you do not give details on this.

You will find enclosed several rulings of the Rebbe Rashab, which he wrote in his time[1]. As he requires, a mikveh* must be filled with rainwater. This is surely what you will endeavor to do in your city.

The merit of the community depends upon you, and you know that, as concerns a mikveh*, one strives to adopt a position that satisfies all the opinions expressed. The merit of this mitzvah* is considerable, and it is said: "Hashem is the mikveh of Yisroel"[2]. All those who devote themselves to this[3] will be blessed with children, and will hasten the collective redemption of all Yisroel, according to what the Tosafos Yom Tov explains at the end of tractate Yoma.

... שמחתי לקרות במכתבו אשר עוסק הוא בבנין מקוה חדשה שתהי' בתכלית ההידור אף שאין כותב פרטי תקון המקוה ומוסג"פ איזה מהתקנות של כ"ק אדמו"ר (מוהרש"ב) נ"ע סידר בשעתו ומסדרים ע"פ הוראתו בהמקואות של מי גשמים, ובטח ישתדל גם כת"ר שי' לעשות כן במחנו, וזכות הרבים תלוי בו ובפרט בנין המקוה אשר ידוע שמהדרים בזה לצאת ידי כל הדיעות וגדול זכות מצוה זו אשר מקוה ישראל ה' לברך את כל העוסקים בזה בזחו"ק ולקרב גם ישועה הכללית של כלל ישראל וע"פ המבואר בתוי"ט סוף מס' יומא.
