Greetings and blessings,

In reply to your letter. It is no doubt unnecessary for me to underscore the necessity of redoubling zeal and effort in this matter. Our Sages say that "to whoever adds[1], we add[2]." One of the explanations[3] is the following. One who intensifies his commitment in everything connected to Torah and mitzvos* receives an increased Heavenly potential, which enables him both to increase his accomplishments in the areas of Torah and mitzvos* and to deepen his desire to advance on this path, from one stage to the next.

I enclose the pamphlet that was published for the auspicious days of 12-13 Tammuz, the festival of liberation of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, which is also our deliverance and the redemption of our soul. No doubt you will study it with all the necessary concentration. You will also make it available to those around you.

במענה על מכתבו... בודאי למותר להעירו על תוספת אומץ והשתדלות בזה, וידוע מרז"ל כל המוסיף מוסיפין לו, שאחד הפירושים בזה הוא, שכל המוסיף בענינים דתומ"צ מוסיפין לו מלמעלה, הן בהיכולת להגדיל פעולותיו בתומ"צ והן בגידול רצונו לזה שהולך הוא בהנ"ל מחיל אל חיל...
