Greetings and blessings,

A) I duly received your package containing the following sefarim*: the Vayachel Shlomo together with the Vayosef Shlomo, the Misgav LeIttos, the Maamar Esther, the Tehillim with the Mehallel commentary, the Goali Chai, the Tehillah LeDovid, the Tzvi Kodesh, the Vayedaber Dovid, the second volume of Likkutei Chazal—of which it would be good to acquire the first volume, for the sake of completeness—the Ben Heh Heh, the Minchas Yehudah.

If it is necessary to send anyone a thank-you letter for this, you will kindly let me know.

B) You will find enclosed three letters for the bachurim* Moshe Lahyani, Shlomo Bensoussan and Amram Azoulay[2].

If you consider it necessary to send some to other people undertaking these journeys[3], you will inform me, and I will endeavor to do so.

C) I duly received your letters of 20 Sivan and 14 Tammuz, with the photographs of the institutions. It is regrettable that they are not very clear. I hope they will, nevertheless, be useful to our work here.

D) You will find enclosed the note that has been published for the auspicious days of the liberation of 12-13 Tammuz. If you need additional copies, you will kindly let me know.

E) Concerning the grammar book[4], you will receive in the coming days the opinion of the Rav, distinguished chassid who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav M. C. A. Hodakov[5].

F) I thank you for having informed me that another package of sefarim* has been sent. I am surprised that it likewise contains no books of Kabbalah. I have heard of a book about the names of the great ones of our people[6], by the Sages of Spain, Morocco and the African countries. Perhaps it is possible to acquire it in exchange for sefarim* of the Kehos editions.

G) If you have news regarding the journey of Rav Levi, for example, you will kindly communicate it to me.

H) I also enclose two letters for the shochet*, Rav Shimon Ohayon[7] and for the bachur* Eliyahu Abitbol. Thank you for kindly transmitting them to them. If an explanation is necessary, you will kindly give it to them.

מאשר הנני קבלת חבילת ספרים הכוללת ספרים האלו: ויכל שלמה - עם ויאסוף שלמה -, משגב לעתות, מאמר אסתר, ספר תהלים עם פי' מהללאל, גואלי חי, תהלה לדוד, צבי קדש, וידבר דוד, לקוטי חז"ל חלק שני (מהראוי הי' להשיג גם חלק ראשון לשלימות הענין), בן הא הא, מנחת יהודא, ואם נצרך למי שהוא מכתב תודה בעד זה, בטח יודיע.

ב) מוסג"פ 3 מכ' להאברכים משה לחייאני, שלמה בן סוסן, ועמרם אזולאי, ואם לדעתו צריכים לשלוח עוד כאלו להעוסקים בנסיעות בטח יודיע, ואשתדל לעשות כזה...

ג) בעתו קבלתי מכ' מכ' סיון וי"ד תמוז בצירוף התמונות של המוסדות, וחבל אשר לא יצאו בהירים יותר, אבל בכ"ז תקותי שגם באופן הזה יביאו תועלת כאן בעבודתנו.

ד) מוסג"פ הרשימה שהו"ל לימי הגאולה והסגולה י"ב וי"ג תמוז, ובאם נצרך לו עוד מהם בטח יודיע.

ה) בענין ספר הדקדוק, בטח יקבל ימים אלו חוו"ד בזה מהרה"ח הוו"ח אי"א נו"נ עוסק בצ"צ וכו' הרמח"א שי' חדקוב.

ו) ת"ח על הודעתו שנשלחה עוד חבילה ספרים, ולפלא שגם בהם אין ספרי קבלה.

שמעתי מענין ספר ע"ד שם הגדולים, מגדולי ספרד מרוקה וארצות אפריקה, ואולי אפשר להשיגו בחילוף דספרי הוצאת קה"ת.

ז) בטח אם יש לו ידיעות בענין נסיעת הרב לוי שי' וכיו"ב, יודיע.

ח) מוסג"פ ג"כ 2 מכ' להשו"ב ר' שמעון שי' אוחיו'ן והת' אלי' שי' אביטבול, ות"ח על הטרחה במסירתם, ובאם נצרך הסברה בטח יעשה כזה,
