By the grace of Hashem,

To the organization of women and young women of Chabad*[1]

in the Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt,

may Hashem grant you long life,

Greetings and blessings,

You know to what extent our Sages have highlighted the quality and merit of Jewish women, who brought about the redemption and salvation of many individuals and of the entire nation in difficult moments, from which Hashem will protect us.

Our fathers and masters, the leaders of Chabad*, in particular my father-in-law, the Rebbe, have emphasized the importance of the role entrusted, in the present period, to Jewish women in general and to Chabad* women in particular.

My father-in-law, the Rebbe, indicated, in particular, that the dissemination of his sichos*[2] had as its essential purpose to be useful and to provide information to the women and young women of Chabad*, so that they would educate the children and serve Hashem, in what concerns themselves personally as well as in their dealings with others. It is, of course, unnecessary to say more.

Accordingly, and as a follow-up to the constitution of the organization of women and young women of Chabad* in the Holy Land, I will sketch here the broad lines of a program of action, which will overall be the following[3]:

A. The work concerning one's own person:

1. Regular meetings will be organized, to learn, for example, the parshah* of the week, the laws of an approaching yom tov*, or halachah*.

2. One will study the appropriate Chassidic discourses, the sichos* that define the great principles of Torah and Chassidus*, its customs, the chassidic practices, in order to strengthen the spirit and the light of Chassidus* in the home.

B. The work toward others:

1. One will gather all one's strength to come to the aid, before anything else, of those who are closest—that is, of one's own children, who will receive a good chinuch*. One will do likewise toward all the other children one comes into contact with.

2. One will lead a campaign to strengthen Yiddishkeit* in general, and for the observance of taharas hamishpachah*, kashrus*, and a good chinuch* in particular.

3. One will endeavor to support the schools dispensing a good chinuch* in general, and one will bring one's active contribution in particular to the educational network of Chabad* in the Holy Land, especially in what concerns food and lodging[4], cleanliness, and the manner of dress.

May Hashem grant you His benevolence and accept the work of your hands, in order to produce fruit and "fruit of fruit," for the glory of the Tradition of Yisroel and for the honor of Chabad*.

With my blessing for the satisfaction of the needs, material and spiritual, of each one of you and of the members of your families,

ברכה ושלום!

ידוע עד כמה הפליגו חז"ל במעלת נשי ישראל וזכותן, שהביאו גאולה וישועה לפרטים וגם לכלל ישראל בעתות צרה ר"ל. ואבותינו רבותינו הק' נשיאי חב"ד, וביחוד כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, הדגישו תפקידן הגדול של נשי ישראל בכלל ונשי חב"ד בפרט, בימינו אלו. וכבר כתב כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר כי אחת הכוונות העקריות של פרסום שיחותיו היא להביא תועלת ולהמציא חומר המתאים לנשי חב"ד ובנות חב"ד בחינוכן ובעבודתן, הן לעצמן והן בנוגע לזולתן. והאריכות בזה אך למותר.

ובהתאם להנ"ל ובהמשך לארגון נשי ובנות חב"ד באה"ק ת"ו, הנני בזה להציע ראשי פרקים מתכנית עבודה בעדן בכללות:

א. עבודה בנוגע לעצמן:

(א) להתועד לעתים קבועות ללימוד (פ' השבוע, עניני החג לפני החג, דינים וכיו"ב).

(ב) ללמוד מאמרים המתאימים, השיחות וכו' המדברים בעקרי תורת החסידות, מנהגי', הדרכות החסידות וכו', ועל ידי זה לחזק רוח החסידות ואור החסידות בביתן.

ב. עבודה בנוגע הזולת:

(א) להשתדל בתוספת אומץ, קודם כל, לטובת הזולת הקרוב, היינו בחינוך בניהם ובנותיהם, וחינוך בני ובנות ישראל בסביבתם.

(ב) לנהל תעמולה לחזק עניני יהדות בכלל, וטהרת המשפחה, כשרות וחינוך הכשר בפרט.

(ג) להשתדל בחיזוק מוסדות החינוך הכשר בכלל, ובפרט לקחת חלק פעיל בכל מוסדות חינוך חב"ד אשר באה"ק ת"ו, וביחוד בנוגע לסידור אכילה ולינה, ההשגחה על הנקיון, התלבושת וכיו"ב.

ויהי נועם ה' עליהן ומעשה ידיהן להביא פירות ופירי פירות לגאון ישראל סבא ולתפארת חב"ד.

בברכה להמצטרך לכל אחת ואחת ולבני ביתה בגשמיות וברוחניות.
