Greetings and blessings,

I was pleased to receive your letter, written at the conclusion of Shabbos Mattos-Masei. You have already returned home, and your daughter accompanied you. Nevertheless, you do not indicate for what reason she traveled with you. Is it because she has finished what she wanted to do, or for another reason?

The milieu of London in which she was moving until now is surely of strict observance. Even if she misses her parents and they wish to see her, she nevertheless must use her young years, during which it is easier to form oneself, in order to receive the best possible chinuch*. This will do her good. You and she will therefore not content yourselves with what she studies with Mrs.... She will, moreover, influence her surroundings, in order to recover there the same spirit as in London.

In fact, it would be good if she exerted her influence on a group of young women, which will lead her to adopt this conduct with even more enthusiasm.

I read with pleasure in your letter that your business affairs are improving, in the cities. I hope that you will earn your livelihood amply by this means.

Concerning your business affairs in your country, you no doubt remember what I told you. You should investigate whether, through them, you have not put someone in difficulty. If such is the case, you will repair what you caused. I hope that you have already done so or that you are doing so at this moment. I am certain that you will be able to give me good news on this subject, that you will confirm to me observing with your own eyes the divine intervention.

Think no more of your previous associates and of the harm they may do to you. Hashem created the world, He maintains and directs it. He is its absolute Master, down to the smallest detail. May Hashem grant that you earn your livelihood amply and conform to the affirmation of the Alter Rebbe, author of the Shulchan Aruch and of the Tanya, that "Hashem grants Yidden material goods, in order that they make of them spirituality."

P.S.: It is surely unnecessary to ask you once again and to thank you for the help you have offered and that you offer to chassidim in your country. I hope that this help will develop, like everything that is alive, and in particular what belongs to the realm of holiness. Thus you will put into practice the injunction of our Sages that "one ascends in matters of holiness."

במענה למכתביו מח׳ סיון וב׳ בהעלותך -המענה שלי התעכב בשל

הטרדות הגדולות ובשל ענינים של י״ב-י״ג תמוז -

בחוגים בהם נמצא יש לו הזדמנויות טובות מאד ,להביא ,בעזרת ה׳

יתברך תועלת במלוי השליחות עבורה הובילה ההשגחה העליונה אותו

לשם.

נחוץ רק לא להיות נפול ברוחו כשנדמה לו שמספר המושפעים קטן,

וגם על אלו ההשפעה חלשה מהרצוי.

פמה ש שיין לפמות ,יש לזכור שכל יחיד הוא עולם מלא ,וכדאי שכל

העולם יתמסר להצלת יהודי ,אפילו אחד ויחיד ,בגשמיות ,ומכל שכן

ברוחניות.

מעבר לכך; ההשפעה הטובה שמקבל המקבל ,איננה נשארת רק אצלו,

לאחר זמן הוא משפיע לטובה באופן ישיר או עקיף גם על אנשים אחרים

מהחוג הצר או הרחב שלו .כשם שכל אבר הוא חלק מגוף ,כך בדיוק יחיד

הוא חלק מכלל הציבור.

ועם ההחייאה הרוחנית של היחיד ,מתחזק ממילא מצבו של כל

הציבור.

פמה שגוגע לאיפווג ,לא ניתן לתאר את גודל הטובה שעושים עם אדם

כאשר מסייעים לו להתעלות ,ולו במעט יותר ,למעלה.

חוץ מזה שלא ניתן לשער את ערך עשיית אפילו עבירה אחת פחות,

ובמצוה אחת יותר ,הרי עבירה היתה גוררת עוד עבירה ומצוה גוררת מצוה,

ועם כל מצוה הוא נעשה יותר מסוגל להבין נכון רעיון אמיתי ,ושיהי׳ לו

הכח להביא את הרעיון בפועל .ליהודי אחד לחבוש כיפה ,לשני תפילין,

לשלישי ציצית ,רביעי לעורר לאהבת ריעים ומדות טובות ,חמישי לשמור

טהרת המשפחה ,שישי ללמד את ילדיו תורה וכן הלאה.

בטח נפגש גם עם יהודים שהקב״ה עזר להם שיוכלו לתמוך כלכלית

בהרחבה בעבודה של מרכז לעניני חינוך ומחנה ישראל שכ״ק מו״ח אדמו״ר

זצוקללה״ה נבג״מ זי״ע הכ״מ יסד והטיל עליהם את המשימה העניפה,

לעשות כל האפשרי להחזיר את כל התועים והנחשלים בכלל וצעירים

בפרט ,ליהדות .בנתינת האפשרות למרכז לעניני חינוך ומחנה ישראל,

לדוגמא ,להוציא לאור ולהפיץ מה שיותר עניני דפוס בשפות שונות ,נעשים

שותף בעבודת ההצלה העצומה שהמנדב עצמו אין בכוחו לעשותה ,ומובן

שזכות זו עושה אותו ראוי יותר לקבל בקלות את ההשפעה הרוחנית לה

הוא זקוק.

קשה לפרט במכתב את כל פרטי אפשרויותיו ,איך לעשות את עצמו

יותר יעיל ,אבל העיקר הוא כפי שכ״ק מו״ח אדמו״ר הכ״מ הי׳ רגיל לומר

״צריך לדבר פחות ולעשות יותר״.

כל זה בנוגע לעבודתו עם שני ,אך ישנה העבודה עם עצמו ,שכאן נעמד

היצר הרע ]ומפריע[ בצורה חזקה מאד -אבל על כך בפעם אחרת.
