To the great Rav, distinguished chassid who fears Hashem

and devotes himself to communal needs,

Rav Nissan[1],

Greetings and blessings,

I am pleased to enclose a check of four hundred ninety-one dollars[2], which equal, more or less, five hundred Canadian dollars. This sum is destined for the construction and restoration of your mikveh*. I mean that this one will be built in the best possible manner. I have been promised that the name of the deceased[3] would be engraved, and perhaps even those of her children. When we have precisions on this subject, we shall transmit them to your secretariat.

May Hashem grant that your actions be crowned with success, that you bring out tahor* in the three dimensions which are space, time and man[4]. This will be an introduction and a near preparation for the liberation of the entire Jewish people, its complete and true geulah*, as the Tosafos Yom Tov, at the end of Maseches Yoma, indicate in an allusive manner. The Rambam formulates the same affirmation, at the end of Hilchos Mikvaos, when he specifies to what the ritual immersion alludes, and at the end of Hilchos Melachim, when he defines the purpose of the coming of Moshiach.

שמח אני לצרף בזה המחאה ע"ס תצ"א* דולר (שהוא שוה לערך של ת"ק דולר דקנדה) לבנין המקוה שלהם ושכלולה - שכלולה כוונתי לצאת גם דיעות המהדרין - והבטחתי שיוחרת שם האשה הנפטרת ע"ה ואולי גם שמות יו"ח, וכשיודעו הפרטים בזה, יודיעו מהמזכירות לכת"ר שי'.

ויה"ר מהשי"ת אשר חפץ ה' בידם יצליח להמשיך טהרה בעולם שנה נפש ותהי' זה הקדמה והכנה קרובה לגאולת כלל ישראל גאולה השלימה והאמיתית, וכמרומז בתוי"ט סוף מס' יומא. וה"ה דברי הרמב"ם (בסוף הל' מקואות רמז הטבילה ובהתכלית דביאת המשיח בסוף הל' מלכים).
