To the Rav, distinguished chassid who fears Hashem

and devotes himself to communal needs,

Rav Betzalel[1], emissary of the Sages,

I bless you and greet you,

A) Your first objective is to multiply talmidim*[2]. If you consent to a slight effort in this direction, my father-in-law, the Rebbe, will surely cause your success to be considerable, including in a quantitative manner, in attracting talmidim* from the other cities of Australia and of the region.

You know the affirmation of our Sages that "when a thousand children undertake the study of the Written Law..., a single one, in the end, will be able to teach." You will consult on this subject the beginning of Likkutei Torah on three Parshiyos, which comments on this teaching and establishes a correspondence[3] with the four upper worlds, Atzilus, Beriah, Yetzirah and Asiyah. It results from this that one who is capable of teaching Torah evokes its inner aspect[4].

B) It is a pity that you do not give me precisions concerning the chassidic gathering of the 12th and 13th of Tammuz. You also do not tell me which good resolutions were taken on this occasion. No doubt you will complete all this in your next mail.

C) I am sending you a collection of addenda to the notes on Megillas Eichah, which has just appeared. You will surely make it available to as many people as possible.

... ה) ותכלית הכל הוא שמוכרח להרבות כמות התלמידים, ובהשתדלות מועטה, הרי בודאי יראה כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר שתהי' הרבה הצלחה ובריבוי הכמות (גם ע"י המשכת תלמידים משאר הערים דאוסטראליא וסמוכותי') והרי ידוע מרז"ל אלף נכנסים למקרא וכו' אחד ויצא להוראה ועיין בזה בלקו"ת לג' פרשיות (בתחלתו) על מרז"ל זה, שהם בכלל נגד ד' עולמות אבי"ע, ומזה מובן שאחד יוצא להוראה, ה"ז פנימיות התורה.

... ט) חבל אשר אינו כותב פרטים ע"ד ההתועדות די"ב וי"ג תמוז וכן ע"ד ההחלטות שנתקבלו בעת ההתועדות, ובטח ימלא במכתבו הבא.

י) מוסג"פ קונטרס המילואים לרשימות מגילת איכה שהו"ל זה עתה ובטח יזכה בזה את הרבים.
