By the grace of Hashem,

Greetings and blessings,

I reply to your letter dated 10 Sivan, but which I receive only today. You inform me of your state of health and tell me that several doctors recommend you a surgical intervention for the double lesion from which you have been suffering for several years.

In my opinion, it is good to undergo it, since such is the opinion of doctors who are specialists in this domain. Nevertheless, you will set it after the summer and not during the hot period.

May Hashem lead you on the straight path and may you be able to inspire in your talmidim* a spirit of yiras shamayim*, to illuminate them by "the candle (which) is a mitzvah and the Torah (which) is light," according to the illumination of Chassidus*. The merit of your ancestors will come to your aid. Thus you will forge the receptacle and the channel to elicit and receive, in an increased manner, the blessing of Hashem for the satisfaction of all your needs.

במענה על מכתבו - שכותב עליו יו"ד סיון אבל נתקבל רק היום - בו כותב ע"ד מצב בריאותו ואשר כמה מהרופאים ייעצו לו לעשות נתוח להשבר משני הצדדים, שסובל מזה כמה שנים:

הנה לדעתי כיון שזהו עצת רופאים מומחים במקצוע זה, נכון הדבר, אלא שכדאי לעשות לאחר ימי הקיץ ולא בימי החום,

והשי"ת יוליכהו בדרך הישרה ויזכהו להחדיר בתלמידיו רוח יראת שמים ולהאירם בנר מצוה ותורה אור כפי שהם מוארים בתורת החסידות וזכות אבותיו מסייעתו וכל זה ישמש ג"כ לצנור וכלי נוספים להמשכת וקבלת תוספת ברכת השי"ת בכל המצטרך לו.
