To the distinguished chassid who fears Hashem and devotes himself

to communal needs, Rav Yechezkel Lisner

and to his wife, important communal leader,

by her personal merit,

Greetings and blessings,

I observed with pleasure, thanks to the report that reached me, the first results of the campaign led by the exceptional unified appeal of Chicago[1], for the benefit of the Lubavitch institutions.

In the name of all these institutions and in my own personal name, I take this occasion to express to you my gratitude and my thanks, to yourselves, to all the participants and to the entirety of donors of the campaign.

Our Sages say that one seeks elevation in all that is linked to holiness. I therefore also formulate the wish that you continue to seek, by all means, the strengthening of the action led for the benefit of the Lubavitch institutions, in particular in the framework of this emergency campaign.

It is important to keep present in mind that each detail, each element of lesser importance, since it concerns the chinuch* of children, finds itself at the very base of their development. This can be compared to the seed which is placed in the earth to give birth to a fruit tree. A small orifice, which would remain insignificant if it appeared on the trunk of an adult tree, can, when it is made on this seed, have a determining effect, to the point of putting in question the development of the tree or even compromising it.

The Lubavitch schools place the emphasis on the study of Torah filled with yiras shamayim*. They dispense the purest chinuch*. As a result, they occupy a primordial place in Jewish life, in many countries. They infuse clarity, warmth, and enthusiasm into this Jewish life. This educational work is carried out with a true spirit of mesirus nefesh*, according to the path that my father-in-law, the Rebbe, has paved for us all.

The campaign to strengthen and develop these institutions must therefore also be conducted with mesirus nefesh*. It is thus that one widens the channels conveying the blessings of Hashem, which are granted "middah keneged middah"[2], and one knows that "the realm of good is stronger[3]." One can thus obtain the satisfaction of all one's needs, material and spiritual.

In expectation of good news relating to the pursuit of your action in Chicago, wishing you good health and all the good,

השגחת המרכז לעניני חינוך -השיג עוד בנין בשכונה החדשה של העיר,

במטרה לפתוח שם עוד בית־ספר ״בית רבקה״ ,ועל-ידי כך לאפשר

למספר גדול יותר של בנות ישראל -כן ירבו -לקבל חינוך ברוח התורה

והיהדות.

גדילה והתפתחות של מוסד חשוב משמחת בכלל ,לו רק בשל כך

שהדבר מוכיח על חיות המוסד .ראויה לברכה יתרה היא התיסדות

מוסדות חינוך של תורה בעוד ועוד חלקים של העיר ,שעל־ידי כך הקיום

הרוחני והפיזי של כלל ישראל מובטח בעזרת השם יתברך.

לברכה מיוחדת ראויה פתיחת מחלקות חדשות בבתי הספר ״בית

רבקה״ ,המוכיחה על הכרת העסקנים שלהם שאין להיות שבע רצון

ממה שכבר הושג בתחום זה ,כל עוד ישנה עוד ילדה יהודי׳ אחת שלא

מקבלת את חינוכה בשל מחסור בבתי ספר יהודיים אמיתיים.

הנני שולח את ברכתי לכל המשתתפים בחגיגה ,ולכל העסקנים של

״ארגון בית רבקה״ ,בראשות הרה״ח הוו״ח אי״א נו״מ עסקן נמרץ ורב

פעלים וכו׳ מהור״י שי׳ ג׳ייקובסון ,וקורא להם לעבוד ללא לאות יותר

ויותר למען חינוך הבנות על טהרת הקדש ,לפי רצון וציווי כ״ק מו״ח

אדמו״ר זצוקללה״ה נבג״מ זי״ע.

תקוותי ,שכל יהודי בעל הכרה ,איש ואשה ,ימלאו את חובתם

לסייע בקיומם ובהתפתחותם של בתי הספר בית רבקה הקיימים כבר

ולפתיחת בתי-ספר בית רבקה חדשים.

כ״ק מו״ח אדמו״ר זצוקללה״ה נבג״מ זי״ע אמר בעת ביקור של

עסקני חינוך אצלו:

״הקב״ה אינו נשאר בעל חוב ,וכל אלה שעושים ומסייעים בתחום

החינוך הכשר -משלם להם הקב״ה במה שנחוץ להם ,ובפרט בנחת

יהודי מהילדים״.

דברי צדיקים חיים וקיימים לעד.

ובטח יברך השי״ת את כל המסייעים לתנועת בית רבקה ,ומשתתפי

ההתועדות בתוכם ,במה שנחוץ להם בגשמיות וברוחניות.
