Greetings and blessings,

I respond to your letter of erev Shabbos Tetze, in which you tell me that you cannot bear the many sufferings which are inflicted upon you.

I am particularly surprised at such words. Have you really forgotten, in a relatively short time, what your situation was more than a year ago and what it became thereafter? Do you remember the causes? Do you remember your state of health?

Certainly, Hashem can do everything, and He has the power to grant a man much more than what he has. And every Yid has the right to hope that this be effectively the case, for "all the children of Israel are sons of the King." It is unnecessary to say more.

You know the kal vachomer* reasoning which is mentioned by Chassidus*. Nebuchadnezzar took three steps backward for Hashem and, from this fact, the kingship was granted to him for three generations. A fortiori must the reward of a Yid be incommensurable. For all that, none can forget the miracles and the wonders which Hashem accomplishes for each of us, and also for you. It is certainly unnecessary to say more.

You will surely pass the time which is necessary in the Holy Land. You will reflect on the possibility of settling there, for yourself and for the members of your family.

May Hashem guide you toward material and spiritual success, together with the members of your family.

במענה על מכתבו מעש"ק תצא, בו כותב... שאינו יכול לסבול כ"כ יסורים שעברו עליו וכו' וכו'.

הנה לפלא גדול הוא דבריו אלו, והאומנם שכח במשך זמן קצר לפ"ע, את מצבו בו הי' כשנה לפני זה ואח"כ, הן בנוגע להסיבות וכו' וכן בנוגע לבריאות וכו' וכו'. ואף שבנוגע להקב"ה הכל יכול, הרי יש בידו לתת כמה פעמים ככה, ולכל איש ישראל יש מקום לקוות לזה, כיון שכל ישראל בני מלכים הם, והאריכות בזה אך למותר, וכידוע הק"ו המובא בדא"ח אשר נבוכדנצר בשביל ג' פסיעות כו' ניתנה לו מלוכה לג' דורות, הרי עאכו"כ אז א אידן קען מען זיך ניט אויסצאלן - אבל ביחד עם זה אין לשכוח ח"ו על הנסים ונפלאות שנעשים לכאו"א מאתנו, וגם הוא בכלל, והאריכות בזה בטח אך למותר.

בטח יבלה באה"ק ת"ו זמן המתאים, ויתבונן באפשריות ההעתקה לשם בשבילו ובשביל ב"ב שיחיו. ויה"ר מהשי"ת שינחנו בדרך הצלחה, לפניו ולפני ב"ב שי', בגשמיות וברוחניות.
