I would like to remind you once again of the necessity of fixing a time to study the revealed part of the Torah and Chassidus*. You must also recite Tehillim* every day and give a few coins to tzedakah* before davening.

These are sure and proven means to refine one's soul, so that it becomes sensitive to Torah, mitzvos*, and Divinity. It is in this way that it conceives a true pleasure.

...ועוד הפעם באתי בזה לעוררו ע"ד קביעות שיעור בלימוד תורת הנגלה ותורת החסידות, אמירת תהלים בכל יום, ונתינת איזה פרוטות לצדקה קודם התפלה, אשר כל הנ"ל הם סגולות בדוקות ומנוסות לזכך את הנפש, שיוקלט בה - אס זאל זיך אפלייגן בא איר - א ענין פון תורה ומצות וענין של אלקות אשר על ידי זה הוא נחת רוח אמיתי לנפש האדם.
