Greetings and blessings,
I just received with pleasure your telegram, announcing to me that you have had a daughter, at a propitious moment. I am happy to see that you are rewarded, as also your wife, for your action in favor of judicious chinuch*, in order to draw close the heart of the children of Israel to their Father Who is in heaven.
The Torah considers him who teaches Torah to the son of his fellow as if he had begotten him. Such an activity is, moreover, propitious for having children.
May Hashem grant that there also be accomplished for you, subsequently, the promise of our Sages according to which the prior birth of a daughter is a good sign for the boys who will come after her.

בנועם נתקבל זה עתה המברק שלו אשר נולדה להם בת למזל טוב... שמח הנני לראות שכרו ושכר זוגתו שיחיו בעד התעסקותם בשדה חינוך הכשר לקרב לבם של בני ובנות ישראל לאבינו שבשמים, אשר כל המלמד את בן חבירו תורה מעלה עליו הכתוב כאלו ילדו, אשר במילא מובן שזהו סגולה להולדת בנים ובנות, ויה"ר שיקויים בהם במשך הזמן בת תחלה סימן יפה לבנים.
