Greetings and blessings,

I received with pleasure your letter of the second day of Rosh Chodesh Adar. You note that, according to the Gemara itself, the angel appointed over gestation is called Lailah [2], and the Maggid of Koznitz specifies that this name is Taka. You explain that this is the view of Tosafos HaRosh on tractate Niddah 16b, according to whom HaKadosh Baruch Hu causes a woman to conceive, and then this angel attends to her.

In fact, you hold that the name Taka is not the name of the angel, but one of the Names of Hashem when He does not reveal Himself through an angel. The Tosafos indeed permit such an interpretation, for it is quite clear that everything comes from Hashem and is therefore disclosed through one of His Names, and is then entrusted to an angel.

You also mention the chassidishe farbrengen* of the yom tov of Purim. As usual, it will begin in the shul* at eight o'clock in the evening. Commenting on the verse "the Sanctuary shall be made according to its arrangements," our Sages say, in Yerushalmi Shabbos chapter 12 paragraph 3, that "he whose place is in the south shall be in the south." In accordance with this directive of the Sages, you yourself will therefore be in the south [3].

בנועם קבלתי מכתבו מבדר"ח אדר, ומה שהעיר בענין המלאך הממונה על הריון דבגמרא איתא דלילה שמו, ובשם המגיד מקאזניץ שזהו שם תכ"ה, ומפרש שזהו ע"פ דעת תוס' הרא"ש בנדה ט"ז ע"ב דהקב"ה נותן לאשה הריון ואח"כ מתעסק בה המלאך.

הנה לכאורה אם רוצה לחלק ולפרש דהשם תכ"ה אינו מלאך אלא קאי על הקב"ה בעצמו מבלי התלבשות במלאך, הרי גם אליבא דתוס' יש לומר כן, כי פשיטא אשר כל דבר ודבר בא מהקב"ה, ובמילא יש לזה שייכות מאיזה שם, אף שאח"כ נמסר למלאך.

במ"ש במכתבו בענין התועדות בחג הפורים הבע"ל, הנה ע"ד הרגיל תתחיל ההתועדות בביהכ"נ לאחר שעה השמינית ערב, ומובן אשר ע"פ פסק רז"ל ודרשתם עה"פ את המשכן כמשפטו, הנה אותו שבדרום ינתן בדרום (ירושלמי שבת פי"ב ה"ג).
