To the Rav, distinguished chassid who fears Hashem

and devotes himself to communal needs,

Greetings and blessings,

A) You mention the translation of the Tanya into Yiddish that is printed in HaKriah VeHaKedushah. You know that this contains several errors which, for various reasons, were not corrected at the time.

In any event, I thank you for this remark. Perhaps it will be possible to find someone here who can undertake this translation. To be sure, it will be a free translation, but it will still take some time.

B) You tell me that the person to whom you allude is feeling better. He must be told that the improvement of his state of health proves that the matter was not serious, and that, in fact, it was a reminder that one must not rely on one's own logic and reasoning, that one must devote oneself fully to the realm of kedushah*.

The teaching of the Baal Shem Tov, expounded by the masters of Chabad, emphasizes that it is not good to cut oneself off from the material. On the contrary, one must make use of it for the avodas Hashem*, as the Baal Shem Tov himself specifies, commenting on the verse "when you see the donkey of your enemy collapsing under its burden" [2]. The chassidishe maamar* entitled "I have come into My garden," delivered this year [3], also develops this idea.

No doubt you will find the right words to explain all of this to him.

With my blessing for hatzlachah* in your sacred mission, which will draw down increased brachah and hatzlachah in your personal concerns,

...ו) מ"ש בענין העתק התניא לאידיש שנדפס בהקריאה והקדושה הנה ידוע שהעתקה זו נמצאים בה כמה שגיאות, שמפני כמה טעמים לא נתקנו בשעתם, בכ"א ת"ח על הערתו בזה, ואפשר ימצא פה על אתר מי שהוא שיעשה העתק כזה כמובן מבלי אחריות, אבל זה יקח עוד איזה משך זמן.

ז) נהניתי ממ"ש ע"ד הטבת מצב בריאות... ויש להסבירו שכיון שרואה הטבת מצב הבריאות, ה"ז הוראה באצבע שלא הי' בזה ענין אלא שרצו להזכירו שלא לסמוך על שכל עצמו וחשבונות ולהמסר לקדושה, וכפי הוראת הבעש"ט כמו שנתבאר ע"י נשיאי חב"ד, שאין הדרך להנתק מגשמיות כ"א לעבוד השי"ת בהגשמיות וכהתורה של הבעש"ט על הפסוק כי תראה חמור שונאך רובץ תחת משאו גו' והובא ג"כ בהמאמר באתי לגני דשנה זו ובטח ימצא בשבילו האותיות המתאימות להסבירו בזה.
