Greetings and blessings,
The following is the subject of the present letter. I am sending you a copy of the letter I am sending to that man. It seems that he is in despair, essentially because the chassidim are not seeking his closeness. It appears that one does not desire his good as one should have done.
I do not wish to consider the situation itself and determine for what reason it is so. But in any event, this attitude clashes with the will of our holy Rebbeim*, who asked with the greatest determination that achdus* reign among chassidim and, all the more so, between those who were not born of chassidim but have become such afterward.
You know the image stated by Midrash Bamidbar Rabbah, chapter 8, paragraph 2, according to which one should devote oneself to the deer that has just joined the flock much more than to the sheep, which have been part of it for a long time. It is surely unnecessary to say more.
I enclose for you the kuntres* that has just appeared.

...ועל של עתה באתי שמוסג"פ העתק המענה למר... וכנראה שהוא מיואש בעצמו ועיקר הסיבה בזה הוא מה שלדעתו אין אנ"ש מקרבין אותו וכנראה שאין משתדלים כפי הדרוש בטובתו.
והנה איני נכנס בעובי הענין אודות הסיבה שגרמה לזה אבל בכל אופן הוא היפך כוונת נשיאינו רבוה"ק שדרשו בכל תוקף ענין האחדות בין אנ"ש שי' וא"כ עאכו"כ לאלו שאינם מאנ"ש געבארענע אבל נעשו געווארענע חסידים וכידוע המשל במדרש (במדב"ר פ"ח, ב) איך שצריך לקרב את הצבי המסתפח על העדר יותר מהשיות הנמצאות מכבר בהעדר והאריכות אך למותר...
