To the association of immigrants from

North Africa in Israel, Tel Aviv,

may Hashem* grant you long life,

Greetings and blessings,

I had great pleasure in learning of your positive accomplishments, by way of the learned man, faithfully devoting himself to communal needs, of manifold accomplishments and full of enthusiasm for the glory of Hashem* and His Torah*, possessing yiras Shamayim*, knowing success even in that country and in that year, in a difficult era and moment, who is blessed by Hashem*, Rav Yitzchak Elmaleh.

You place yourselves at the service of the immigrants from Morocco who are in our Eretz HaKodesh*, may it be restored and rebuilt, very soon and in our days, by our righteous Moshiach*.

As an expression of appreciation for your decisive work, and as encouragement to apply yourselves with all your strength to come to the aid of Yidden*, I am sending you several prepaid postage vouchers, drawn from one of the funds of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, the tzaddik* who is the foundation of the world, leader of Yisrael*, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak, whose merit will protect us. Undoubtedly, there will be fulfilled, regarding this fund, the statement of our Sages in tractate Bava Basra 15b, that "one who receives a coin from Iyov* becomes wealthy."

I will have pleasure in receiving news of yourselves and of your success in your positive accomplishments, good for the creatures and good toward Heaven. Indeed, one does receive reward for the mitzvah* one performs, including in this world. May Hashem* grant you success.

מה נעם לי להוודע מהרבני עוסק בצרכי צבור באמונה איש רב פעלים ובעל מרץ לכבוד ה' ותורתו יראת ה' אוצרו מצליח גם בארץ ההיא בשנה ההיא זמן קשה ומקום קשה ויברכהו ה' מוה"ר יצחק שי' אלמליח, מפעולותיהם הטובות לטובת עולי מרוקו אשר בארצנו הקדושה תבנה ותכונן במהרה בימינו על ידי משיח צדקנו.

ולאות הוקרה לעבודתם הנעלית גם בתור עדוד וחיזוק אשר תחזקנה ידיהם לעזרת ישראל בגבורים, הנני מצרף בזה איזה סקריפ אשר נלקח מאחת הקופות של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע צי"ע נשיא ישראל הוא אדמו"ר יוסף יצחק, ובודאי יקויים בקופתו מאמר רז"ל (ב"ב טו, ע"ב) כל הנוטל פרוטה מאיוב מתברך.
