Greetings and blessings,

I duly received your letter of Rosh Chodesh Iyar, as well as the previous one and that of 10 Nissan. I thank you for the good news concerning the studies, which are going well and in which the talmidim* participate properly.

May Hashem* grant them success, and may He grant it to you as well, so that you may see the fruit of your labor, in accordance with the will and the blessing of our holy master, leader of Yisrael*.

With my blessing for success in your sacred mission, and conveying greetings to all the talmidim*,

I thank you for the list of talmidim* who recite Chassidus* in public.[2] It is unfortunate that this is done only once every few weeks. No doubt, they took advantage of the days of Pesach*, when they returned home, to do so also in their new surroundings.

You say that some talmidim* could learn the trade of shochet*, in accordance with their situation and their aptitudes. If such is the opinion of the local administration, this is indeed a good proposal. Nonetheless, these talmidim* must nevertheless have a Gemara* lesson.

It is particularly fitting that the talmidim* from Morocco devote more time to the study of Chassidus*. Nonetheless, this addition must also be quantitative, and it must be introduced at their request. The spirit of friendly competition will allow this to be obtained.

בברכת הצלחה בעבודתו בקדש ופ"ש כל' הת' שיחיו.

ת"ח על רשימת הת' חוזרי דא"ח ברבים. וחבל שהחזרה היא פ"א בכמה

שבתות, - ובטח ניצלו ימי חה"פ שהם בביתם שיחזרו בסביבה החדשה.

בענין שילמדו אחדים מהת' אומנות שו"ב, מפני מצבם וכשרונם המתאים לזה - אם כן הוא דעת ההנהלה, על אתר, נכון הוא, ובלבד שיהי' אצלם גם שיעור בגפ"ת...

הוספת זמן לימוד דא"ח של הת' ממרוקו - נכון הוא במאד, אבל צ"ל: א) הוספה לפי ערך בכמות. ב) שתבוא באתדל"ת של הת'. וע"י קנאת סופרים בטח יש לסדר זה.
