By the grace of Hashem,

Greetings and blessings,

You have informed me that your birthday will be on the first day of Tammuz, which is approaching. No doubt you will adopt the practices specific to that day. You will therefore be called up to the Torah*, and you will seclude yourself for a time, in accordance with what is said in HaYom Yom*, on the date of 11 Nissan 5703.

Moreover, you will study a chassidic* maamar* during this day. If possible, you will learn it by heart and you will repeat it publicly afterwards, the same day or on the following Shabbos*. Likewise, you will give tzedakah* before the tefillos* of Shacharis* and Minchah*.

May Hashem grant you success, that you have yiras Shamayim*, be a chassid* and a scholar of the Torah*. May you settle soon, in the manner that is fitting, materially and spiritually at the same time.

I am surprised that you say nothing about your study of the revealed part of the Torah* and of Chassidus*. You also speak nothing of your activity with others. In fact, "this is the entire purpose of man." What then are you waiting for to begin?

במענה על הודעתו יום הולדת שלו ביום א' תמוז הבע"ל, הנה בטח ינהג בסדר יום הולדת, בעלי' לתורה, התבודדות לשעה עפ"י הכתוב בלוח היום יום י"א ניסן תש"ג, לימוד מאמר דא"ח ביום זה ואם אפשר בע"פ וחזרתו אח"כ בחבורה ביום זה עצמו או בש"ק הבא אחריו, וכן בנתינת צדקה קודם תפלת שחרית ומנחה. והשי"ת יצליחו שיהי' יר"ש חסיד ולמדן ויסתדר בקרוב באופן המתאים לפניו בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.

לפלא שאין מזכיר דבר ע"ד לימודיו בנגלה ובחסידות וכן ע"ד פעולותיו בזה על אחרים והרי סו"ס הרי זהו כל האדם. איז אף ווען לייגסט עס אפ?
