To the Rav, distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs,

Rav Saadya[1], emissary of the Sages,

Greetings and blessings,

I have just received your letter of the 27th of Sivan, which followed a long silence. Baruch Hashem*, you seem to indicate that your effort is bearing fruit. May Hashem grant you to observe, with your physical eyes, the supernatural success that my father-in-law, the Rebbe, enables you to obtain.

Various texts of Chassidus* define plowing and sowing[2]. It is therefore not surprising that, in various areas, one must wait some time before seeing a concrete result. On the contrary, this is even a necessity, as those texts emphasize.

I am surprised that you say nothing of the sichah* delivered here[3], on Lag BaOmer*, before the young talmidim*. A Hebrew translation of it has been sent to Rav C. Matusof[4], so that it may be used in the appropriate manner in Morocco.

I enclose for you a kuntres* that is the continuation of the notes published regarding the imprisonment[5]. It has been published on the occasion of the festival of liberation of the 12-13 of Tammuz, which is approaching. No doubt you will disseminate its content in the best possible way.

With my brachah* of success in your sacred mission and in your personal concerns,

זה עתה נתקבל מכתבו מכ"ז סיון - אחר השתיקה הארוכה - ות"ל שכנראה ממכתבו רואה הוא פרי טוב בעמלו, ויה"ר מהשי"ת שגם בעיני בשר יראה איך שכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר ממשיך הצלחה למעלה מן הטבע ועפ"י המבואר בכ"מ בדא"ח בענין דזריעה ונטיעה, הנה אין פלא אם כמה ענינים יש לחכות עד שנראה הפרי בפועל ואדרבה וכמבואר בענין הנ"ל.

לפלא שאין מזכיר מאומה ע"ד השיחה דל"ג בעומר לפני התלמידים הצעירים כאן, שנשלח העתקה ממנה בלשון הקדש להרה"ח הר"ש מטוסאף ע"מ להשתמש בזה באופן המתאים במרוקו.
