To the leaders of the association of Chabad women and
girls, in Paris[1],
may Hashem grant you long life,
Greetings and blessings,
I have duly received your letter, in which you tell me of the organization of your activity. Even more, those who spend the summer in the city will carry out this activity there, and those who go to vacation places will do the same wherever they are.
It would be good if every woman, wherever she is, could enter into contact with all those whom she might draw close to Jewish practice in general and to the ideas of Chassidus* in particular. They should be influenced in the proper way. Now, from various points of view, it is easier to act in summer vacation places, where women are freed from household tasks. They are therefore better disposed to listen to new ideas, especially when they are conveyed in the proper way. You know the saying of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit shall protect us, that "it suffices to act in order to obtain a result."
I was particularly pleased to learn that you are also taking advantage of the summer months to attract children[2] and to put them in contact with Beis Rivkah*. Such an action is intrinsically positive. Moreover, these children will subsequently retain a good impression and will also influence the home of their parents.
May Hashem grant success to each of you, in all your needs, as well as to all your families.
With my blessing for success,
