Greetings and blessings,

I have duly received your letter and your request for a blessing of 10 Menachem Av. I will read it when I find myself near the holy tziyun* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit shall protect us.

The month of Elul* and the Yamim Nora'im* are approaching. It would therefore be good to have the mezuzos* of your home checked, in order to ensure that they are kosher. You will do the same for the tefillin*. And no doubt you check, every day, the small tallis* and the large one.

May Hashem grant that your wife's pregnancy go well. She will give birth easily and will have a healthy child. You will lead your children to Torah, to the chuppah*, and to good deeds. And you will have a chassidic home, a home of Lubavitch Chassidus*.

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו פ"נ מיו"ד מנ"א, וכשאהי' על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע אקראהו. ובאשר ימי חדש אלול וימים נוראים ממשמשים ובאים - מהנכון הי' לבדוק את המזוזות בדירתם שיהיו כשרות וכן התפילין שלו (ובודאי הט"ק והטלית גדול בודק הוא בכל יום כידוע). והשי"ת ימלא ימי הריון זוגתו תחי' כשורה ובנקל ותלד זחו"ק כשורה ובקל, ויגדלו את כל ילידיהם שיחיו לתורה ולחופה ולמעשים טובים, ויהי' אצלם א חסידישע הויז און א ליובאוויטשער חסידישע הויז.
