Greetings and blessings,

I have duly received your letter of 22 Elul, with the two requests for blessing that accompanied it. By now, you have surely already received my response, addressed to the leaders of the Kfar, which was also a follow-up to your letter.

I must repeat here once again that, even if you were right in all the arguments and explanations you put forth to justify your passivity, this in no way replaces concrete action.

Moreover, the actions which are the channels conveying the blessing for material livelihood are considerably weakened and have perhaps even disappeared. What is the purpose of all this? I do not understand it.

I have good hope that in these days of moral accounting, of nearness of the Luminary toward His emanation and therefore of the emanation toward the Luminary, all this will be repaired, at least in significant measure. It is no doubt unnecessary to emphasize to you that, if one lets the month of Tishrei pass without making a campaign, one will then have to wait a very long time before such a propitious moment presents itself again. It is no doubt unnecessary to say more.

On the occasion of the new year, which approaches in a positive way, for us and for all Yisrael, I express my blessing to you, as well as to the members of your family, that you be inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year, materially and spiritually.

מאשר הנני בזה קבלת מכתבו מכ"א אלול עם שני הפ"נ אשר בו, ובטח לעת כזאת כבר נתקבל מכתבי מענה להנהלת הכפר שבהם ג"כ מענה על מכתבו. ומוכרחני לכפול בזה עוה"פ אשר לו יהא שצדקו וצדקו בכל התירוצים והנימוקים שכותב להעדר הפעולה אבל הרי התירוצים והנימוקים אינם ממלאים מקום מעשה בפועל. ולא עוד אלא אפילו בענינים שהם ג"כ צנורות של פרנסה ניכרת חלישות גדולה ביותר ואולי גם העדר עשי' לגמרי ומה יהי' התכלית מזה איני מבין, ותקותי אשר ימים אלו שהם ימי התעוררות קירוב המאור אל הניצוץ ובמילא גם קירוב הניצוץ אל המאור יתתקנו הענינים הנ"ל עכ"פ בחלק חשוב מהם ובטח למותר להעירו אשר אויב מען וועט דורכלאזען דעם זמן פון חדש תשרי בענינים של תעמולה הרי צריך יהי' לחכות כו"כ זמן עד שתהי' שעת הכושר כזו, והאריכות בזה אך למותר.

ולקראת השנה החדשה הבאה עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה ולברכה, הנני בזה להביע ברכתי לו ולב"ב שיחיו, ברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה בגשמיות וברוחניות...
