may Hashem grant you long life,

Greetings and blessings,

I have duly received your letter of 23 Elul. I read in it with pleasure that, despite the difficulties, you have not been discouraged and you continue to assume your sacred mission. Without the slightest doubt, if you pursue your action, you will know immense success.

Moreover, I read with dismay, in your letter, that two of your teachers have been suspended in favor of public education. I am also surprised by this, for it was clearly stated that the dismissals would be only formal and technical. The relations maintained, for example with the settlements of Poalei Agudas Yisrael, made it possible to establish that there should be no outside intervention concerning the recruitment of teachers, on condition that, officially, their demands be satisfied.

It is therefore clear that you must not allow outside intervention asking you for the dismissal of teachers when they are competent. Of course, all this can be settled in a discreet and natural manner. For it is necessary that the chinuch* in the Kfar have a certain sensibility, to which the teachers subscribe.

I truly have good hope that, if you intervene diplomatically and discreetly, you will obtain satisfaction in a pleasant and incontestable manner, all the more so since it has been established for several years that you can express particular requirements, for various reasons. You must understand what I mean.

On the occasion of the new year, which approaches in a positive way, for us and for all Yisrael, I express my blessing to you, as well as to the members of your family, that you be inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year, materially and spiritually.

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבם מכ"ג אלול, ונהניתי לקרות בו אשר למרות הקישויים שעמדו בדרכם לא נפל רוחם וממשיכים בעבודתם בקדש, ונעלה מכל ספק אשר אם רק יעשו יצליחו בהצלחה מופלגה, אבל לאידך גיסא נבהלתי לקרות במכתבם אשר שנים מהמורים שלהם הוסרו בקשר לחינוך הממלכתי ותמיהני ג"כ כי הרי היתה הצהרה מפורשת שאין הפיטורים אלא ענין פורמלי וטכני שכפי הידוע מהיחס מהקיבוצים דפאג"י וכיו"ב הנה לא יתערבו מבחוץ בשכירות המורים וכו' ובלבד שבאופן רשמי יקבלו עליהם את הענינים שהם דורשים ובמילא מובן אשר גם מצדם דארפן זיי ניט צולאזן התערבות שיורו מבחוץ לפטור המורים שיש בהם אמון וכו' אף שמובן ג"כ אז עס איז געזינטער שיסודר כל הענין מבלי רעש ובדרך פשיטות שמוכרח הדבר שהחינוך בכפר של אופי מסויים יהי' ע"י מורים מתאימים לאופי זה, ובטוחני חזק שכשיעשו בזה באופן דיפלומטי ובלחש יצא לפועל בדרכי נועם ובדרך פשיטות וביחוד שיש להם כבר חזקה מכמה שנים שיש מקום להנחות מיוחדות בשבילם מכמה טעמים וד"ל.

ולקראת השנה החדשה הבאה עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה ולברכה, הנני בזה להביע להם ולב"ב שיחיו את ברכתי: ברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה בגשמיות וברוחניות.
