Greetings and blessings,

You have not written to me for some time, and may Hashem grant that there be in this a favorable indication, a proof that all is going well. Nevertheless, it would be good for you to address a letter to me to confirm it.

In this month of Kislev, that of the geulah*, you will manage to convince yourself that you must put into practice the teachings of our Sages, who have ordered to rely on the opinion of the doctors and to do so joyously. For what does it matter in what manner and through what actions you put into practice the will of the Creator? It suffices that you do so without prior calculation.

When Hashem asks one to entrust oneself to the opinion of the doctor, one must indeed do so, be satisfied to have, in this way, the possibility of putting into practice the divine will, and therefore act with simchah*. Thereupon, Hashem grants His help and one can verify that there is indeed cause for satisfaction.

I hope that you will write to me to tell me that you have indeed adopted this attitude. May Hashem grant you His blessing in abundance, as well as to all the members of your family, so that you may be in good health and earn your livelihood amply.

זה מזמן שלא קבלתי ממנו מכתבים, ויה"ר מהשי"ת שיהי' זה סימן טוב שהכל שלום, ובכל זה מהנכון שיכתוב עד"ז בפירוש.

ובימי חדש כסלו חדש הגאולה הנה עליו לפעול בעצמו להתנהג על פי הוראת רז"ל שציוו לשמוע לקול הרופאים ולעשות את זה מתוך שמחה, ומה איכפת לו באיזה אופן ובאיזה ענינים ימלא רצון הבורא ובלבד שיעשה את זה מבלי חשבונות, וכאשר השם יתברך אומר לשמוע לרופא צריך לעשות כן ולהיות שבע רצון מההזדמנות לשמוע אל רצון השי"ת במילא צריך להעשות זה בשמחה, ואז עוזר השי"ת שרואים שיש ממה להיות שבע רצון.

מקוה הנני שיכתוב לי שעושה כזאת והשי"ת יוסיף בברכתו לו ולכל ב"ב שיחיו בבריאות הנכונה ובפרנסה בהרחבה.
