Igrot Kodesh · Letter 2303 — Faith & Bitachon
Volume 8 · Letter 58
B"H,
18 Kislev 5714,
Brooklyn,
Blessings and greetings,
I have duly received your letter of 16/11. When I find myself near the holy tziyun* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit shall protect us, I shall mention all the names you transmit to me, so that their needs may be satisfied.
I have already pointed out to you once that you must speak to your daughter about the laws that all Jewish women must know, in particular those of the mikveh* and of taharas hamishpachah*. Indeed, you write to me that she is engaged.
For the moment, I have received from you no response on this subject. I would therefore like to emphasize to you once again that there is no place to be embarrassed to evoke such subjects[1], for they have an implication for the children and grandchildren, condition happiness, physical and moral.
Parents strive to ensure the material livelihood of their children, and they must also guarantee for them a healthy and happy moral existence, and not, chas veshalom*…[2].
I have good hope that you will intervene in this sense, by the various appropriate means and with the appropriate energy. May Hashem confer success upon you.
With my blessing,
For the Rebbe Shlita,
the secretary,
[1] See, on this subject, letter no. 2266.
[2] The opposite of this.
