and devotes himself to communal needs,

Greetings and blessings,

I was particularly pleased to learn the good news of the expansion of your group of people who study Tanya*. You know the saying of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, according to which, when one observes success in these areas, one must strive to strengthen them, beyond what has already been accomplished.

For this, one will adopt the following reasoning. If, with the effort invested until now [2], which was relatively limited, the Holy One, blessed be He, granted such success, how much greater could it have been, had one invested the effort that is fitting. It is surely unnecessary to elaborate further.

I enclose a copy of the letter that I am addressing to all, on the occasion of the chag hageulah* of Yud-Tes Kislev [3]. It would be good to take counsel with the rav and chassid*, Rav Eliyahu Moshe Liss, to determine whether it is good to disseminate its contents to those who participate in this shiur*, and if so, in what manner.

...נהניתי ביותר מהבשורה טובה מהתרחבות חוג הלומדים בהשיעור תניא שלהם, וכבר ידוע פתגם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע שכשרואים הצלחה בענינים כמו אלה הרי צריך זה לעורר תוספת כח בההשתדלות להגדיל עוד יותר את הענינים, באמרו לנפשו, ומה בהשתדלות עד עתה שהיתה קטנה לפי ערך נתן הקב"ה הצלחה כזו הרי עאכו"כ אם היו משתדלים כראוי, והאריכות בזה אך למותר.

מוסג"פ העתק מכתבי כללי בקשר עם חג הגאולה הוא י"ט כסלו, ומהנכון הי' שיתייעץ עם הרה"ח כו' מוה"ר אלי' משה שי' ליס, אם כדאי לפרסם תוכנו בין משתתפי השיעור, ובאיזה אופן.
