To the great rav, distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem
and devotes himself to communal needs,
Rav Yehudah Ze'ev HaLevi [1],
Greetings and blessings,
On the occasion of the luminous day of the festival of our liberation and the salvation of our neshamah*, Yud-Tes Kislev, I enclose what was published for this date. This will surely be useful to you for carrying out your sacred mission and also on a personal level.
Indeed, you are a public figure upon whom many people depend, particularly the talmidim* of the yeshivah* upon whom you exert your influence and into whom you can deeply instill ahavas Hashem* and yiras Hashem*, by leading them to meditate upon the greatness of the Creator.
The Rambam* signifies all this, briefly and in an allusive manner, in his Hilchos Yesodei HaTorah. And an explanation, in terms that each of us can understand, is given by Chabad chassidus*. Moreover, you know the promise [2] made by the Alter Rebbe*, author of the Tanya* and the Shulchan Aruch*, whose joy we celebrate, according to which those who act in this way will know success.

בקשר עם יום הבהיר חג גאולתנו ופדות נפשו הוא י"ט כסלו, הנה מוסג"פ מה שהו"ל, אשר בטח יביא לו סיוע בעבודתו בקדש וגם בנוגע להפרט, וביחוד שאיש כללי הוא וכמה טפלי' תלוים בו היינו תלמידי הישיבה שהשפעתו עליהם ובידו להחדירם אהבת ה' ויראת ה' פנימיות ע"י שיתבוננו בגדולת הבורא ית' וכו' וכמו הנרמז בקצרה וברמז ברמב"ם הל' יסודי התורה, ונתבאר היטיב באותיות השייכות לכאו"א מאתנו בתורת חסידות חב"ד, וכבר ידוע הבטחת רבינו הזקן בעל התניא והשו"ע בעל השמחה שהעושים בהנ"ל בודאי יצליחו.
